Agroecological Farming.
Come to develop a special skill - experience living with nature!
About the Program

This farm and project  was constituted on May, 2016 with the purpose to complement Nicaragua environmental education and to strengthen the relationship between society and the environment.
.
You will do planting and watering, working with the ground, and you will harvest fruit and vegetable that will be used for making our products and for cooking.
There is always a lot of work with animals: clean their stables and feed them.

Sometimes there is construction work to do - and you might learn how to construct a wall out of 'barro' ... (loam).Spanish knowledge is not required - it is to the volunteer´s advantage to study Spanish to communicate with the local people who work at the farm. The farm can arrange private Spanish classes while you are here.

Our Volunteers

Our volunteers should be enthusiastic about developing new skills and experiencing living with nature. We welcome volunteers of all ages for a shorter or longer period of time. You don't need to speak Spanish although it's an advantage to be able to communicate with the local people. We also offer Spanish language classes to our volunteers.

This have an extra cost based on the days you will want to do it.
Volunteering with Kids

You will be helping on an Orphanage, or teaching in a school, or assisting with a local women’s group where kids are cared for, volunteering with kids puts your creativity, enthusiasm, and energy to work! It’s all about individual attention and engagement, so prepare yourself by learning about the stages of child development, and start brainstorming your project ideas.

Teaching English

Even if your specific work assignment is not in an educational setting, you’ll find that English instruction is a sought-after skill in many areas of volunteer work. So get ready for an ad-hoc English lesson , for fun and educational language-learning games on a Special Kids School or on a Orphanage, or for invitations to practice English with members of the local community. Your instruction will pay dividends for years to come. Whether it’s helping a student reach secondary education (where classes are often taught in English) or preparing someone for a better career opportunity through language knowledge, the mere fact that you’re a fluent English-speaking volunteer will make a tremendous impact.
To start, learn more about why English education is important, and how teaching English has long-term impacts on individuals and communities.
Volunteering with People with Disabilities

Giving your time, love, and attention to people with disabilities can be a challenging placement, but is also incredibly rewarding! As there is a wide spectrum of people with disabilities, it’s helpful to get a grasp on the social model of disabilities. From there, dig into tons of craft ideas to bring fun and energy into your volunteer work assignment.

Volunteering with the Older and Wiser

One of the most loved volunteer work assignments, volunteering with the elderly, is an amazing opportunity to spend time with seasoned community members at a Nursing Home. Learn their stories and share your warmth, and your time. But you will sure have a lot of work with them.
